Your mission

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager in Marketing Technologies to take ownership of delivering complex digital and marketing technology projects for our clients. The role will be responsible for managing project execution from planning through implementation, ensuring that high-impact solutions are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in line with agreed quality expectations.

In this role, you will act as the central coordination point between clients, internal technical teams, and business stakeholders. You will translate complex business needs into structured project plans, align priorities across teams, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth delivery across the full project lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities with a solid understanding of marketing technologies, digital platforms, data-driven solutions, and technical implementation processes.

This role is suited to someone who is confident in client-facing settings, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to bring structure into dynamic and fast-moving environments. You understand the realities of a start-up or scale-up environment, communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders, and are capable of leading cross-functional and multicultural project teams to deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

Project delivery and execution
  • Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of marketing technology  projects, ensuring successful execution from  solution discovery and planning through implementation, rollout, and optimization.
  • Together with the Technical Lead, translate client needs and business objectives into clear project scopes, delivery plans, milestones, work packages, and actionable tasks for cross-functional teams.
  • Structure and manage project roadmaps, backlogs, and priorities in close collaboration with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business value and delivery feasibility.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including engineering, AI, data, UX, analytics, and marketing specialists, to ensure smooth collaboration and high-quality solution delivery.
  • Manage timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and blockers proactively to ensure transparent, predictable, and reliable project execution.
  • Drive project decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle, balancing client expectations, technical feasibility, available resources, delivery and budget constraints, and business goals.
  • Take responsibility for budget estimation, budget tracking, and financial transparency, ensuring continuous alignment between scope, effort, available resources, and project progress.
  • Engage in technical discussions with sufficient depth to understand architecture considerations, implementation constraints, data dependencies, integration requirements, and delivery risks.
  • Translate complex technical topics into clear, structured, and business-relevant communication for clients, business stakeholders, and internal teams.

Client and Stakeholder management
  • Act as a trusted project lead and strategic delivery partner for clients, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and proactive alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare and facilitate client meetings, project updates, steering committees, workshops, and decision-making sessions.

  • Identify risks, blockers, scope changes, and improvement opportunities early, and proactively propose practical solutions.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams by creating transparency, structure, and confidence in the delivery process.

  • Support clients in clarifying priorities, making informed decisions, and understanding the impact of scope, budget, timing, and technical complexity.

Your profile

Your profile
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving, and ideally start-up environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage parallel initiatives, and drive progress in dynamic settings.
  • Proven experience of at least 7 years as a Project Manager, with strong ownership of digital products across roadmap execution, delivery, and continuous product evolution.a
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI-powered, data-driven, or otherwise technically complex digital products or IT solutions.
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to work closely with software engineers and AI/data specialists, with enough depth to contribute meaningfully to technical discussions and solution decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to align cross-functionally, manage trade-offs and shared resources, and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Experience with budget estimation, budget monitoring, and resource planning across the product lifecycle.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.

Nice to have
  • Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Experience in MarTech, digital platforms, enterprise software, or other technology-driven consulting environments.
  • Experience delivering products in a client-facing consulting or solution delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and working closely with engineering teams in iterative product development.
  • Familiarity with platform thinking, APIs, data ecosystems, and scalable cloud-based product environments.
